A boy needs to find a topic for his final project in his speech class, and he presents next week. Desperate, he walks around town until he finds an abandoned park. He sits on a rusty swing as he thinks for hours on what to speak about. Finally, he comes up with an idea, goes home and writes it down. This is the speech he gave that day. This is a thought process I had one night, I know it will step on a lot of toes, but it's still interesting to think about.
Disclaimer: beliefs and views in this paper do not directly reflect those of mine. Although I have had these thoughts, I do not necessarily believe them. This is a revised version of a previous story called "Scars". This version is longer, and has a unique take on it that I particularly like. Although most poems take a long time to write, I decided to write one in 10 minutes. Be prepared though, because 10 minutes is not enough time to revise. When you can't die, life can get pretty depressing. Note: This was created in a format for me to speak/act in. So when it has asterisks over an action, that means that I acted out that action then. Imagine it more as a script than a story.
When a young man, his emotional girlfriend, and his best friend, go to their first prom, things are bound to happen. When a young man finds an old book in his house, he decides to read it. But he's about to be thrown into more confusion than a stoplight turning orange.
Note: This is the first draft of a bigger project I'm working on with the same name. So be looking out for that on the Upcoming page. Also, the original title for the story was "A story within a story within a story within a story within a story within a story within a story" |
